Karabakh is one of the ancient historical regions of #azerbaijan, extending from the highlands of the #lessercaucasus down to the lowlands between the rivers #kura and #aras. Name of #karabakh is a compound of the #azerbaijani words kara (black) and bagh (garden), literally meaning "#blackgarden".
